Infrared thermography captures infrared energy and surface temperatures that our naked eye can’t see. Our infrared cameras are the only diagnostic technology that lets us visualize and verify the performance within a home. Our brains have been conditioned to associate the color red with negativity. Stop at a red light. Pull over for the red firetrucks and so forth. Seeing the color red sends up warning signals in our brain that something is wrong. With infrared thermography, sources of potential electricial issues or missing insulation show up bright red to orange on the camera due to the heat being transmitted.
Not only do these high tech cameras illuminate the hot spots, they can also show signs of moisture intrusion. Just like how we associate blue with water, the bright blue and purple colors represent cool spots in an area. With these cameras, we are able to locate potential sources of water damage, alerting the buyers/sellers of a potential threat to the home. With this tool we are able to find sources of electric damage, missing insulation, water damage, etc.. Infrared thermography scans is one of the most effective, proven, and predictive technologies available to quickly, accurately, and safely locate problems within a home.
