Pre-Drywall inspections have multiple benefits for homebuyers. First, let’s discuss what a pre-drywall actually is!

  • Pre-drywall: the phase during the homebuilding process after the installation of certain elements – such as the foundation, flooring, wall and roof components, plumbing and electrical rough-ins – right before the drywall is up.

Now that we’re all on the same page, the beginning stage of new construction is so important due to it being the roots of the home. If there are issues in the home’s foundation/rough-ins they are going to affect the home later on.

With pre-drywall inspections a lot of issues we see consists of plumbing and electrical rough in deficiencies, along with gaps in the roof, and organic growth on trusses. Once the drywall is up, you no longer have access to repairing these items. In this situation, out of sight does NOT equal out of mind!!
