Three Types of Inspections for New-Construction Homes
Pre-Drywall Inspection
Pre-drywall inspection is performed to make sure that the house is built according to its specifications. This is being done just prior to the installation of the drywall/stucco. This inspection is beneficial during this phase because the drywall can hide some factors which can be hard to identify when the house is already fully-built.
Final Walk-Through Inspection
This inspection is performed prior to closing and gives the buyers the opportunity to make sure the home is ready for them. Major components of the home will be inspected like the appliances, lights, plumbing fixtures, and etc. so all the utilities need to be turned on. The Final Walk-Through is the buyer’s last chance to check if all repairs have been made.
Builder’s Warranty Inspection
One Year Warranty is being offered by builders to cover any needed repairs usually a year after you moved into the house. This is just the same as a regular home inspection which means that the house will also be inspected from top to bottom. Home inspectors will make sure that all issues will be identified prior to the expiration of your warranty.
